The AirCargoGroup is a global association of like-minded airfreight experts and a global association consisting of over 40 Global Partners and over 20 Associate Members.

Global Partners are 100% neutral, leading wholesalers from around the world. Global Partners are exclusive to ACG in the sense that they cannot be committed to other networks.

In markets where 100% neutral Wholesalers do not exist, AirCargoGroup has aligned with Associate Members. Associate Members are forwarding agents who act neutrally on behalf of ACG and its customers.

AirCargoGroup works with freight forwarders and logistics providers to enable them to enhance their reach, buying power, and product quality through our network. Our members and partners allow us to offer local and global freight forwarders end-to-end airfreight solutions. 

We are committed to delivering value-added international airfreight services exclusively to the worldwide retail freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, and transport-related industry. Through AirCargoGroup, a forwarder gets access to a global network, IT, and buying power rivalled only by large multinationals. 

ACG operates as a global platform and service tool for retail freight forwarders worldwide. They have access to special airfreight consolidation rates, blocked space agreements, and specialised neutral air transport handling through our network.

What is wholesale airfreight?

The fundamental purpose of an international airfreight wholesale business is to provide a value-added international airfreight service exclusively to freight forwarders. Airfreight wholesaling is the process by which freight agents can purchase space through the intermediary wholesaler for lower rates than offered by the carrier.

In airfreight, this is achieved either by the wholesaler consolidating many small shipments into a single booking while taking advantage of the lower rate per kilogram offered by airlines for larger shipments and then sharing the cost-saving with customers. It is also achieved by combining dense cargo and volume cargo on the same airline pallet to maximise the chargeable capacity of the pallet without exceeding its physical weight limit.

Kim Ekstroem

Kim was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark and moved to New York in 1994 to help establish Shipco Airfreight. He has over 30 years’ of airfreight experience in operational, commercial, and managerial functions. Kim is the COO of Global Airfreight at Shipco Transport and founding member of the ACG. Traits that really matter to him are integrity and honesty.

Christian Koeppel

Christian was born, raised, and trained in Germany. He has over 35 years of experience in the freight industry. Christian is the European Director Airfreight at SACO Groupair. He embraces every new challenge that comes his way, whether in business or personal life. Trust, honesty, loyalty, and integrity are important to him.

Jacob Pretorius

Jacob grew up in a small town in the North of South Africa where his father was a cattle farmer. He started in the logistics industry in 2010 as a data capturer in the airfreight warehouse. Over the years, Jacob has held various positions in airfreight operations as well as commercial sales roles. Jacob enjoys nature and outdoor activities and plays golf when there is time. Spending quiet time at home with his family is important to him.

Leslie Chung

Leslie was born in Hong Kong and raised in Canada for 20+ years.  Following his studies, he moved back to his hometown and began his career as Cargo Sales for an Italian-based airline. This led him to further experience and connections within the air cargo industry, which also brought him to work with one of the first founding members of the AirCargoGroup for over 10 years. He is now the General Manager – Overseas Development at Shipco Transport.  “Frequent-Flyer” is the best word to describe him for the past 15 years. He believes passion is the key that leads to every success, and one should not be without, even when it comes to personal life.

Rebecca Foster

Rebecca is South African born, with a mixture of English, Scottish, and German heritage.  She jumped straight into the freight industry after completing school in 2005. Rebecca is the Network Manager for AirCargoGroup. She loves all things natural – plants, animals, the earth. For her, dedication, commitment, and a smile are important in the workplace.

Damian McCluskey

Damian was born, grew up, and still lives in the same village in the North West of England. He graduated university with a BSC in Psychology. Damian has been in the freight industry since 2000 and is the Operations Director at SimplyCargo UK. His family and friends are important to him and, when it comes to work, he strives to do the best he can for clients.

Stefano Robbiatti

Stefano Robbiati was born in Italy where he has always lived. He graduated in economy and has over 40 years of experience in the airfreight industry. Stefano is the CEO of NEW CHARTER, a leading Italian airfreight broker and wholesaler. He specializes in large and outsized shipments, and enjoys solving problems and creating new opportunities. Stefano values friendship and mutual respect among people, both in his job and in his day-to-day life.
