As part of our CSR activity and the responsibility towards protecting the earth we live in, Navigators staff and management actively participated in the Earth hour campaign initiated by the WWF. Our contribution was duly recognized by the WWF and they honoured us with a certificate of appreciation. The company had actively participated in the Earth hour campaign and sent across more than 10,000 awareness mails globally. Earth hour was successfully observed in the offices of the company and the company encouraged other people known to them, to observe the same at their home.
Navigators has always been keen on engaging with CSR programmes from the early days of its inception, a decade back, and had been active in promulgating the need for giving back to the society and strived hard for encouraging sustainability programmes, in close association with international bodies and organizations. The management of Navigators extended their warmest gratitude to WWF for the prestigious honour and pledged their allegiance in propagating the environmental protection programmes of WWF.
Started by WWF and partners as a symbolic lights-out event in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour is now one of the world’s largest grassroots movements for the environment. Held every year on the last Saturday of March, Earth Hour engages millions of people in more than 180 countries and territories, switching off their lights to show support for our planet. But Earth Hour goes far beyond the symbolic action of switching off – it has become a catalyst for positive environmental impact, driving major legislative changes by harnessing the power of the people and collective action.
